# Accounts

## Get started with the Merchant Center

## Join an Organization

To join an existing Organization, contact your administrator to add you to the respective Organization and Project. Alternatively, if a user from your company has an account and invites you to join, then click the sign-up link in your email. This automatically adds you to the respective Organization and Team.

You will receive confirmation emails when you are added to an Organization.

If you don't receive an email, then you should do the following:

- Check your spam/bulk folder.
- Check if your company has policies that are blocking these emails.
- Contact either your Customer Success Manager or the [commercetools support team](https://support.commercetools.com/).

## Manage your account

A Merchant Center user account is separate from an [Identity](/docs/identity/overview.md) account, which provides authentication to commercetools business tools and services.

In the Merchant Center, you can change the language and time zone settings. To update them, click the profile icon and then select **My Profile**.

To manage personal information such as your name and business role, go to the [Identity homepage](https://identity.commercetools.com/).

### Delete your account

After you delete an account, it cannot be recovered.

Only an account owner can delete their account. To delete your account, do the following:

1. Click the profile icon, and then select **My Profile**.
2. Click the **Delete my account** icon.
3. Enter your email address, and then click **Initiate account deletion**.
4. Click the link in your email, and then click **Delete my account**.

   The account deletion link is valid only for one hour.
