# Smart Data Modeler - Agentic fields

Add GenAI-ready Attributes to a Product Type in the Merchant Center.

When you create a Product Type in the Merchant Center, you can turn on **Add GenAI-ready attributes automatically**. This toggle appends a predefined set of GenAI-ready Attribute fields to the new Product Type, so your products carry the fields that AI agents rely on without you defining them one by one.

**Access:** To enable GenAI-ready attributes, submit a [support request](https://commercetools.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/22/group/479/create/1436) with your Project key and region.

## When to use agentic fields

Use the toggle when you create or extend a Product Type manually and want to add AI-ready fields quickly.

The toggle differs from [agentic mapping](/merchant-center/ai-agents/sdm-agentic-channels.md) in the following ways:

- It only appends predefined GenAI-ready Attribute fields to the Product Type you are creating. It does not analyze a catalog sample or map your existing fields to platform attributes.
- It does not transform or import your product data. You remain responsible for populating the added Attributes.

## Add GenAI-ready attributes

1. In the Merchant Center, go to **Settings > Product types and attributes > Add product type**.
2. Enter the Product Type details.
3. Turn on **Add GenAI-ready attributes automatically**.
4. Save the Product Type.

The predefined GenAI-ready Attributes are added to the Product Type. You can then populate them on your Products.
