# Explore sample data

Your Project comes with sample data. This data allows you to familiarize yourself with commercetools features using realistic commerce examples.

The sample data includes a pre-configured product catalog with Product Types, Products, and Product Variants. It also includes Customers, Customer Groups, Channels, Stores, Tax Categories, Shipping Methods, and example Orders and Carts. This gives you a working baseline to run the demo flows and understand the data model before you add your own data.

Use the sample data to:

- Run the B2C Retail and B2B Manufacturing demo flows without setting up your own catalog.
- Understand how Products, Variants, Prices, and Inventory Entries relate to each other.
- Test API queries and explore the data model in the Merchant Center before replacing it with your own data.
