Carts and Shopping Lists that exceed a Project's limits are now deleted based on how close they are to their configured retention. Previously, the least recently modified Carts and Shopping Lists were deleted using lastModifiedAt. Now, deletion is based on lastModifiedAt + deleteDaysAfterLastModification.

You can customize deleteDaysAfterLastModification when creating resources, or later using the setDeleteDaysAfterLastModification update action on Carts or Shopping Lists.

Projects created before January 2020 may still contain Carts and Shopping Lists without deleteDaysAfterLastModification. In those projects, the automatic cleanup task will continue using the legacy behavior, deleting the least recently modified resources.
