Store validation for Shipping Methods is now enforced consistently across additional Cart and Order flows. A Store-scoped Shipping Method can only be used on a Cart that belongs to one of the method's Stores, and it cannot be used on a Cart without a Store. This helps keep your Shipping Methods aligned with the correct Stores when Carts and Orders are created or copied.
Store scoping was already enforced when creating a Cart, setting a Shipping Method, and creating an Order from a Cart. It now also applies to the flows that copy a Shipping Method from an existing Cart or Order, such as Merge Cart, and Create Order from Quote, including their in-Store and in-Business Unit variants. This closes a gap where these flows could previously carry a Store-scoped Shipping Method that did not match its Store.
When a copied Shipping Method does not match the target Cart's Store, these flows now return an InvalidOperation error. If you merge or convert Carts and Orders, confirm that the Shipping Methods are scoped to the correct Store.
