Modular Catalog is now generally available. You can manage Product Variants as standalone resources through the Variants API, retrieve storefront data through the Variant Projections API, and retrieve lightweight Variant Attributes through the Variant Attributes API. Modular Catalog uses Standalone Prices and supports up to 10,000 Variants per Product. For steps on how to migrate to Modular Catalog, see the Modular Catalog migration guide.

Product Search supports Projects with the ProductCatalogModel set to Modular in public beta. In the GraphQL productsSearch result for these Projects, the masterVariant and variants fields are empty, so you retrieve Variant-level data with the Variant Projections API or the variantProjections GraphQL query instead. For queries on the variants.availability.* fields, use the Inventory API to retrieve stock data. For details, see Data integration.
