Checkout now supports gift card Connectors in public beta. Gift card Connectors manage the communication between the merchant, Checkout, and the gift card management system, allowing customers to pay with their gift card balance.

You can install a Public Connector from the Connect marketplace or create and install an Organization Connector for gift cards. Then, you can set gift cards as a payment method in your checkout flow by configuring dedicated Payment Integrations for your applications.

A gift card Payment Integration should always be coupled with other Payment Integrations. This way, when your customers pay with a gift card and the balance on the card is lower than the cart's total, they can select other payment methods to pay the difference.
