Payments
InStore receipts can now display the localized, human-readable name of the payment option configured by the retailer. For example, receipts show
Customer Credit instead of the generic processor-level type GiftCard. This helps colleagues and shoppers see the payment option name that matches the one shown on the POS button. For more information, see JSON data fields for receipt templates. If you define
tenderTypeLabel in the payment option request body, its value is exposed in the receipt data model. The default Sales receipt, Refund receipt, and Nullified Payment receipt templates include this value, represented by the type key. If the payment option does not include tenderTypeLabel, InStore uses the tender type associated with the payment processor. Existing custom templates are not updated automatically; include {{type}} to display the label.
