Checkout
New feature
ApplicationsSDK
Automated Reversals are now available in public beta. This feature lets you automatically cancel or refund a Payment if an Order creation fails. You can activate Automated Reversals in your Checkout applications via the Merchant Center, helping you reduce manual effort, minimize refund delays, and improve your customers' experience.
You can define rules for your Automated Reversals by using predicates to cater to specific business needs. For example, you could trigger Automated Reversals only for Orders under a certain amount or apply different conditions depending on the payment method.
If you already use Checkout in the Merchant Center, the next time you click the Checkout menu option, you will be asked to confirm the new permission needed for this feature.
Additionally, Checkout now supports a reversePayment action via the Payment Intents API in public beta. This action lets you request the reversal of a Payment, which instructs the payment service provider (PSP) or gift card management system to reverse the payment.
To use Automated Reversals, make sure that the Connectors in your Project support the reversePayment action from the Payment Intents API.
