After completing this page, you should be able to:

  • Make decisions on Associate provisioning, role design, inheritance, and endpoint selection to onboard a B2B buyer correctly.

Zen Electron Trade is onboarding a new buyer: Coastal Developments, a property developer with a parent Company and two Divisions, North and South. The buyer wants its own staff to manage team members in the portal, requires that the people who place orders cannot approve them, and wants a company administrator to oversee both Divisions without being re-added to each one.

As the Functional Architect, decide how to provision Associates, design roles, configure inheritance, and route operations to the correct endpoints.

Work through the following questions to confirm your understanding.

Next module

Well done for completing the Configure associate access module. You can now model who acts on behalf of a buyer organization, design roles with separation of duties, predict inheritance behavior, choose the right endpoint pattern, and recommend a provisioning approach.

In the next module, Design B2B catalogs, you will learn how to control which products each buyer sees and how they are presented, using Product Selections and Product Tailoring in a B2B context.
