- Apply Discount Code best practices in a digital commerce scenario.
Lisa, a promotions manager at TrendyStyle, wants to launch a special campaign for customers in the Loyalty Customer Group. She has created a Cart Discount that provides 20% off the first order for these customers, along with a Discount Code, FIRST20, to trigger the discount. To ensure the discount applies correctly, she has set a Cart Predicate on the Discount Code that checks if the customer is in the Loyalty Customer Group.
After the campaign launch, Lisa receives complaints that the FIRST20 code isn’t working. She checks the Discount Code settings and notices that the Cart Predicate has been applied to both the Discount Code and Cart Discount.
Now, Lisa needs to figure out what went wrong and fix it.
