Use your understanding of advanced product data modeling in Composable Commerce to help a footwear company display their various shoe offerings on their online store.
After completing this page, you should be able to:
- Identify effective product modeling strategies to meet specific client requirements and configure unique attributes to manage Product Variants.
Earlier in the module, we had explored a business use case for the Shoes for Feet footwear company. Shoes for Feet has launched a line of shoes called StrideX Sneakers with three different models:
- StrideX Comfort
- StrideX Flex
- StrideX Performance
Each model is available in various sizes (US sizes 6, 8, and 10) and colors (red, blue, and black).
Requirements
Shoes for Feet has requested you, their commerce manager, to ensure that the new StrideX Sneakers are displayed on their online store in the following manner:
- StrideX Sneakers need to appear as separate product cards by model (Comfort, Flex, and Performance) on the Product listing page.
- All product combinations (including the three models) are to be displayed on the Product detail page so that customers can select the size, color, and model directly.
You need to decide the best model to display these shoe variations on the listing and detail pages according to the mentioned requirements, while keeping a consistent and efficient product data structure.
