View information about device availability and usage.
Device search
To search for devices, do the following:
From the InStore Center main menu, click Devices.
Select at least one search attribute on the Search Criteria pane:
- Location: filter only active locations in the current environment.
- Device Type: filter by
Printer
,Cash Drawer
,Scanner
,PED
,Workstation
, orSafe
. - Device Status:
Active
indicates that the device is assignable for use in the location.Inactive
indicates the device is not enabled for use. - Workstation: the device on which InStore is running; also referred to as a till or register.
- Device Model: a model that is approved for use with InStore.
- Shared?:
Yes
indicates that the device is available for use by more than one workstation simultaneously (for example, a printer). - Last Used:
Never
is used to find a device that is unused or has not yet been put into service.
Click Search.
If you receive too many results, you can add additional filters to narrow down your search. You can also use the Rows per page dropdown to change the number of visible rows.
To view details for a device, click the View icon in the Actions column.
