commercetools InStore defined scope

The following list shows the different parts of the commercetools InStore product and links to relevant areas in the documentation:

  • InStore colleague app: a lightweight, composable in-store solution made up of core product modules and customizable accelerator modules. It enables store colleagues to perform typical retail store processes, including:

    • Accepting shopper-present payments
    • Issuing merchandise-present refunds
    • Controlling and managing cash
    • Managing the payment ecosystem and physical devices
  • InStore APIs: a commercetools hosted API layer that connects the InStore application to Composable Commerce. It handles tasks such as fetching carts, managing payments and returns, and tracking session activity.

  • InStore Center: an administration portal that allows retailers to customize store business processes by configuring global and location-specific settings.
