commercetools InStore is a flexible solution designed to empower commercetools customers to operate in physical, shopper-present locations like retail stores, kiosks, service desks, and mobile.
InStore enables customers to:
- Accept physical payments, including card-present credit and debit cards, gift cards, and cash.
- Manage payment ecosystems and devices, such as safes, cash drawers, printers, payment devices, and scanners.
- Handle refunds, for receipted and unreceipted merchandise purchased through any channel.
- Manage cash as inventory, with capabilities like performing cash counts and managing bank deposits.
All InStore out-of-the-box process components can be customized to align with how commercetools customers operate their physical store locations, using the InStore Center.

InStore POS: a commercetools-hosted, composable, extensible, zero-footprint physical store solution. It runs at the point of sale, point of purchase, service desk, or mobile. It enables store colleagues to perform typical retail store processes, including:
- Accepting shopper-present payments
- Issuing merchandise-present refunds
- Controlling and managing cash
- Managing the payment ecosystem and physical devices
